Bayleys Real Estate Gisborne has been announced as the naming sponsor for the Poverty Bay Rugby Junior Competition.
The deal includes a co-sponsorship with top investment and advisory group, Jarden on an initiative, ‘Ball for All’, where a thousand branded rugby balls will be dished out to every registered junior club player.
Jarden provides a range of services from investment banking and capital solutions to wealth management.
Simon Bousfield, Bayleys Country Sales Specialist said, “We saw the opportunity for sponsorship of the Junior Rugby Competition as a fantastic way to support our community.”
“If we can help support our youth so they have the ability to keep active, meet new kids outside of the school circles, build valuable skills and most importantly have a lot of fun along the way.”
“The decision to sponsor the competition enabled us to give back widely across the community – especially to those we have built valuable business relationships with over the years. We’re excited to see the junior competition continue to grow, and are thrilled by the prospect of some of the initiatives that we are working on.”
Former Junior Advisory Board Chairperson and recently appointed Independent Board Member of Poverty Bay Rugby Union, Cara Haines said, “The initiative means rangitahi all over Tairāwhiti will have a rugby ball of their own and this enables them to not only enjoy their club rugby but gives them the opportunity to be able to play rugby with their mates whenever they want, not just on Saturday mornings during rugby season and at training. It’s a great way to kick off the 2020 junior rugby season.”
