Civil Project Solutions Poverty Bay Weka squad named to take on Ngati Porou East Coast Kings birthday weekend.

This is the first time since 2017 that this annual fixture has been played in Gisborne. and the first KINGS BIRTHDAY Match since 1952.

The game will be played at the Oval 2.30pm on Saturday June 3 with the OBM club hosting.

Head Coach Miah Nikora had this to say about the squad.

“We’ve gone for a bigger squad for this game, with the aim of creating real competition for positions across the board. It also allows us the opportunity to further develop some of the many talented local club players in a representative environment. It’s an exciting squad with good mix of youth & experience”

The squad will commence training this Wednesday night from 6pm at HSOB
