CPS Senior Rugby goes ahead at Level 2

  • Post category:Latest News
With Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s announcement we will remain in Alert Level 2 this weekend, we can confirm Civil Project Solutions Senior Club Rugby games will go ahead.
We met with the Council of Clubs, delegates of clubs involved in our senior competitions, Thursday evening to discuss options for this weekend’s Civil Project Solutions Senior Club Rugby games under different Alert Levels.
By remaining at Alert Level 2 on Saturday 15th August, Premier and Senior One games will go ahead as scheduled, however, no spectators will be allowed.
This will be difficult to manage but we are confident that we can support our clubs to manage the playing environment so we comply with Ministry of Health and safe hygiene practices by restricting spectators.
We are hoping to livestream all games as a result of restricting spectators. More information will be provided Saturday morning.
Please help us and our clubs ensure a safe and healthy playing environment by supporting this decision and spreading this message across your networks.
Our main priority remains the health and safety of our rugby community but we believe we can strike a balance between that and giving our players the ability to play rugby and get through an exciting season.
Thank you for your patience and consideration.
