The “PJ Sayers Cup” has been returned to the land of Turanganui-a-Kiwa after Poverty Bay won the local derby 58-18 against Ngati Porou East Coast in Tolaga Bay in front of a big crowd.

The Cup is only played for against the East Coast on the East Coast. The “Anaru Skip Paenga” is the Taonga played for in Poverty Bay Territory which the Bay holds as well.
