Poverty Bay has a reputation for producing wonderful female rugby players. In 2018, its Poverty Bay Women’s 7s team competed at the National Sevens Championship in Rotorua.
In 2019 PBRFU had a Women’s 7 team compete at the Central Region’s Sevens Tournment in Levin.
We currently offer representative female teams in the following grades:
- Poverty Bay Heartland Women’s
- Poverty Bay Women’s Under 18
